This was processed from 3 RAW images, one under, one over and one spot on exposure.
I tried to process this as close as possible to the single exposure. Big difference.

I think there is a bit of posterization in the image from the HDR processing. It's especially visible in the top of the unfolded center of the iris. I definitely prefer the other version.

Oranges or tangerines? The same but different. I kind of go for this dark, moody shot, but it's a matter of taste. HDR certainly has its place in our toolbox.

This has more of a surreal arty feel. The other iris looks like a real iris. Both beautiful.
