This is the sensor of my brand spanking new 40D :-(
I tried the on-board cleaning as well as blowing it out, but this is it - nothing else will come off :-(

Sorry about the dust specks. Having just cleaned the 5D sensor with 7 double swipes.... and still have some specks.... I can understand how dispiriting this can be. And I was wondering if that superdooper sensor shake a lake thingy in the 40D was of any use. I expect it is. Might give cleaning the mirror chamber a shot...

If you use Zooms lens get use to cleaning almost everyday or just shoot @ 2.8 to 8 I find dust bunnies don't show up in that f stop range.

Just clean it. I saw the same after about a day on 5D. Sucks, but what can you do.
