I wanted to shot some photos, using my trusty little flashlight to paint some vases with light. This triptych makes an interesting study of how lighting effects a subject. Anyhow, just funning around...

a couple more thoughts...

Yes, the ONLY light was my little two "AA" battery flashlight.

The top and bottom images used a 5 second exposure and the middle image used a 15 second exposure. All were done in manual setting.

I was intentional about the top and bottom image so that the shadows pointed "into" the frame.

This works great as a triptych!! I think I like the top one the best. Very nice shots.

Cool image! Only recommendation would be on improving the symmetry of the triptych. Nice combo of shadows and tones!

Quite nice. I never think about doing triptych's, but now I've been inspired.

Beautifully done and very interesting. Only lighting was the flashlight?

This is a really good set, I'm not sure how interesting any one of them would be on its own but by putting them together you've made something special. The B&W treatment also means we only focus on the lighting, so I knew exactly what I should be looking at. Anyhow, that's a long winded way to say "Well Done!"

Nice job. I like the layout of the triptych - gives a sense of motion to the photos. It would also be interesting to see the top and bottom pics switched so that the top vase shadow wasn't going against the motion.
