Another weekday subject scramble. :)

My wife had just brought these in from the garden earlier. I liked the way the sunlight was casting shadows from the wire basket.

The reflections were bugging me. Tried various exposure methods (center, spot, average metering), had a polarizer in place that helped some.

In the spirit of tonights Impressionism II challenge I thought I'd mess around with some texturizing, etc...

Your shadow patterns are great here. The texture you added makes them pop more than if it were just a regular shot I think.

The editing makes sense in the context of your foto details. I like it. It seems to be a tad on the dark side tho, not sure if that was an effect you were going for. I like the shadows from the basket tho it's a bit hard to see. I kinda like that it is as further study of the shot reveals it. Kinda like an extra surprise. I get that the basket gives a clue to those shadows and also reveals the source but I think I would have liked to have it cropped out. But that's me. Good stuff!

I think you overdid the texturising here.the light is really lovely.

I like the editing -- very nice! I thought those were Christmas ornaments (and thought it was a bit early pulling those out) until I read your commnets. It also helps reading the title, too, I guess. :)

Cool. Looks like charcoal on a very rough paper.

I was going to say how 'impressionistic' then I read your comments. Have to say, I like this about as much as I like my Impressionist entry. I'm just not seeing the big attraction to the whole thing, but obviously I'm in the minority.

Good luck!

Awsome. I love the experiment. I think it came out really neat. Those look like tomatoes. I love tomatoes even if they look a little B/W.
