Hi. I gave this a 4. I think the basic subject just didn't do it, but also the yellow thing on the left and the white blob on the bottom are distracting.
But as far as "improving" as a photographer, I think you should put the score in context. Your two commenters during the challenge averaged an 8, so you clearly connected very strongly with them.
The score tells you that DPC voters, on average, didn't like it much. But you have to decide whether that matters to you. If it does, explore what scored highly in this challenge and in other challenges, and work to emulate those shots.
If not, continue doing whatever you like and use the scores to gauge the average DPC appreciation, but not ultimate value. |
