Took me about 5 hours with a my friend to setup this shot. We're no experts, we used whatever household item insight to help us. Every step along the way was at least a ten minute discussion about how we could reduce a certain reflection or add a certain glow here or there. Every reflection was carefully crafted. Then of course a few were cloned out during post-processing.
Many mirrors, diffusers, a polarizing filter, two light sources with blue filters and, of course, the olive red laser pointer were all we needed. The martini glass is resting on a piece of beveled glass. Initially, we had two lasers, one for the olive and one for the trail, which proved to be so difficult, well... impossible to get a nice smooth line. So I had to clone a laser trail to life... most people won't be happy to hear this, but after 5 hours of work, I wasn't going to give up the laser idea because without it; well, there's no painting and therefore no photo for the contest. Hope it looks realistic enough to fool the anti-editing crowd over here. If so: Gotcha!! If not, the jokes on me!

For those who said: What the hell does this have to do with James Bond???
The laser glowing olive in the martini, symbolises the sniper's precise aim, which is necessary considering James Bond's apparent immortality. If he could take out James Bonds' martini olive, he better be able to take out the man himself. And the martini being on the edge of the table, what can I say: James Bond lives on the edge (and has been been since 1962, or so), it's about time that martini glass fell off the table!

Here and I see it as a miniature bomb stuck inside a martini olive!! Take a bite and go boom! Which would definately fit the James Bond "gadgety" feel of the films.

Nice! I like this version much more since the absence of the laser stream really puts more emphasis on the olive pit. Nice work! Keep it up.
