The best portrait I've seen on DPC. At F1.8! you've made her look absolutely stunning. I want to marry her! Not to say that she isn't stunning normally but what I mean is that on this pic she looks almost ethereal, like a elf queen straight from Tolkien's mind

You perfectly captured the beauty and the innocence of this child! Love the soft lighting. The color of the dress compliments the eyes. The only other picture I can recall that captured me with eyes was the Afghanistan girl on the cover of National Geographic some years ago.

I'm not sure if this fits the challenge. I don't know, and quite frankly don't care. In terms of pictures, this is one of the top 3 in the challenge. Awesome portrait and I think this young lady should be very flattered with this portrait. I originally scored this 7, just bumped it to 8 and am kicking myself for not giving it a 9, which I will do momentarily. Great picture.

By far the best picture in this challenge. Great lighting. Beautiful Girl. The focus is just spot on! Composotion great. The only thing that I can see wrong is the blue in the upper left corner. This is a 9 from me. Great job!

Don't have membership yet, so can't vote, however this is beautiful. Doesn't quite show the dof as much as some of the others, but I am just drawn by how well this is done. The pose, the lighting, and the expression of the eyes are all just perfect.

Excllent image! Great color in the eyes and skin. Looks like the hair was part of the blurred DOF so I won't deduct from there although it would be so much better if they were in sharp focus. I think it could use a smidgen of cropping off the left side to eliminate the small blue corner in the upper right. Plus I think this would look nicer with a slimmer profile. It would concentrate the viewers' focus on the girls face especially the eyes. 9.

Though probably better suited for the soft-focus challenge this is an exceptional portraiture. NeatImage would be perfect for smoothing the skin and giving it a soft focus effect and is DPC legal even for basic rule challenges. Hope you use it with your portraits.

If the photo had something with a soft focus in the foreground to indicate a 'Shallow Depth of Field' I would have given it another point. Beautiful eyes on a very pretty young lady.

This is eerily beautiful. Great lighting and a striking subject.

Although I don't have a major problem with this, the eyes have been treated almost a little too much perhaps - leaving the appearance of an early stage of cataracts! She ould be an inhabitant of the planet Dune I suppose, which I haven't ruled out. ;)

stunning portrait. she draws you right in with her eyes. I like the angle of her pose. There is a distracting hair running across her cheek and chin and over her chest, though. 8

Very pretty subject, lovely colors, tones, and softness (a very retouched look). Does not exhibit the pronounced shallow DOF of other entries, but It represents the most enchanting photo of the group (IMO). 10
