This photo contains the first doppler radar used for observing the weather on the far left, and the newest weather radar technology in the middle...the MPAR, or Multifunction Phased Array Radar. This radar uses the antenna from a SPY-1 radar from a Navy ship, and has the ability to scan faster than the modern-day NEXRAD system. On the right is a small radome on a trailer.

Thanks for the comments. For those that didn't see the power, sorry, will try better next time. Might be a bit advanced, but this particular radar has a transmitter with a maximum output of approximately 750 kW, or approximately 700 average countertop microwaves operating at full power at the same time.

Technically, this is a perfect photograph - the focus and exposure are fine. But it's not a very interesting image, and doesn't really potray a feeling of power. It's still a nice image, good try! :)
