These boys were selling newspapers / programs at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival Parade. Dressed in period costume, and holding up a newspaper featuring a Duesenberg was just too cute to pass up.
Interesting subjects, nice tones. Focus is a bit off. The white shirt is overexposed. Something to consider is that in black and white photography it is generaly better to UNDERexpose the shot a bit. You are after as much detail as possible in dark and middle gray tones. This is the oppossite of what you read about 'exposing to the right' and trying to capture as much highlight detail as you can. Also looks like some feet and head amputation going on here. Would like to see the kid on the right completely. The one in the background is hidden behind the paper anyway so no big loss there. Overall a nice shot.
well one boy is dressed in costume. shame about the other boy.
some grain would've been good. I know of a way to get that really old look in PS, would've fitted quite nice here :)
