This is a fantastic image in so many ways. First I notice that this is obliviously a shopping district, and yet there are so few people. There is also the signs of war, and still a small child walks with dad in the middle of the street. Color is evident but muted, barely diverting the eye from the drab of the buildings, as if to say “we are here” without drawing attention to themselves. This is a place used to war, and that is a sad thing.. |
