Not sure I've seen this one at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg parade - it is very nice. Is it a replicar (the wire wheels look more modern)? And what is the car beside it? I don't recognize it.
If you're a fan of old cars, and can make it (I know Indiana is a fair distance), I'd highly recommend the Auburn-Cord-Duesenburg Festival on Labor Day Weekend in Auburn, Indiana. The "Parade of Classics" is Saturday at 1:00 PM. Friday night is the cruise-in around the courthouse square. And that's not to mention the WWII, NATMUS, and Auburn Cord Duesenburg museums, and the Kruse Auto Auction. I got to Auburn this year Saturday morning at about 11:30 AM, and left about 4 PM - and took 693 pictures - one of which was my entry for the motivation poster (Excellence).
I like your photo - this is a gorgeous car, and having it in a modern setting (shopping mall, office tower, concrete-divided road, modern parking lot) just emphasizes its classic lines and beauty. |
