Not sure this works in B&W. Think it would be worlds better in color

A beautiful butterfly in b&w? 4

Was this an ugly butterfly. Why have you chosen black and white. These are the questions that sprung to mind as soon as I viewed the image. And such a tight crop. Hope it does well, but I fear that it will be voted down. 5

This is a decent enough photo, but there's no sense of danger because butterflies often hang underneath flowers.

I've seen a couple of butterfly shots done in b&w and it always confuses me. They just seem to warrant a color shot.

I like the picture but there should be vivid colours with such a subject.

Doesn't really meet the challenge for me. Could use more contrast.

A color production of this photo could be better. Besides, what's the risk?

Nice capture - Like the tones - The composition is a little dull and the underview a little awkward to look at.

Butterflies do not need nets

This shot is pretty busy and I don't know where to look first. I like the depth of field. I wonder if a color version would feel less busy. 7

Too small.

why on earth would you convert a picture of a butterfly to b/w?
