Fits the challenge subject perfectly, more empty space than we can see. Lens flare adds to the picture the guide the eye into space. Dome does not appear to be totally sharp.

your picture is divided, lower left/upper right. you need one focal point

a little sharper focus, or deeper colors may have made this more effective. karmat

I think this would look better at night with stars.

This means a lot to me because of the times I've spent in observatories. It gives me a real feeling of excitement. I understand what you were trying to convey with this photo, although it probably won't have that affect on a wide range of people. Well done though.

The lens flare is very appropriate for this photo. A little grainy overall, though.

This would have been staggering at dusk. The lens flare detracts from the photo, but you get lots of credit for the idea, which meets the challenge technically, and also is a nice play on words. 7.5, which gets rounded up to 8 - mjcecil

I really don't like the sunspots from the glare. The concept is pretty good though

space station ?

The sky is a nice shade and I actually like the blow out from the sun but need more interest in the main object.

Nice title for the shot. I kinda like that lense flare. The observatory is a little soft. You should have told them to poke out the telescope so you could take a picture :) 5

Very nice photo... would have like to see more sharpness on the structure. I think I would have liked this better without the glare. Good job. - bamaster (8)

I like the concept a lot but I think the space becomes the subject rather than the observatory.

looks slightly out of focus. and sun spots are on your lense

The concept is okay. the negative space is okay.

I like it, maybe a tad too much glare to the right, but well done. Score 7 Justine

Meets the challenge I'd say! Would like a more color. Good luck in the challenge. Grayce aka Gracious

Great shot; lens flare and overexposure work well together for this shot. Great use of colour.

An observatory silo or a silage silo? Space the final frontier or cow food cupboard? I can't tell which.
