response to your thread here, i have to agree with Art's comment regarding the composition - the partial showing of the bridge on the left is distracting. maybe you have included it to show that this was taken from under the bridge? but it's not helping the photo; not unless you include MORE of it, because right now, it appears to be an obstruction.
also, at first glance this photo looked too bright and contrasty, which destroys any details on the building walls...
of course, i may be alone with my opinions. cheers! |

Yeah, the voters would chew it up and spit it out. I would have predicted a 5 or sub-5 total in the urban landscape challenge. Not really "Terrible" and the perspective is good- unique and interesting, but the composition... bridge fragment to the left, tree branch below, some buildings cut off. Also lacks detail and contrast.
Hope that helps and sorry if it sounds mean - whaddo I know anyway. :) |
