I never really realized how big the African lions really are till I pretty much got nose to nose with this guy. I ended up getting about 12" from this big guy in another shot which I will hopefully post in the next couple days, and that was pretty much as close as I was comfortable with :P was an awesome experience getting to go "behind the scenes" at the local zoo even though in the Lion pens the lighting sucked LOL. Thankfully I had brought the 430ex flash I just bought and was able to bounce the flash off of the ceiling for the Lion shots...
