Took this yesterday on my photography club outing to the MSU gardens. Got some other good shots, but thought this one was well suited to this challenge with his wings out, in the act of flight.

Wow, this is such an unusual shot. I like the movement in the wings and the colour of the flower that tones with the colour of the bird. I feel the background is a bit distracting though and this photo would have benefited from a shallower depth of field to blur the background and make the bird really stand out.
