I think good profile. a keeper personal album foto - revealing but undemanding. vg shadow detail. eyes of a mother soft.

I actually entered this knowing it was a 'bad' image, I was curious what it would score and so many of my 'good' images score so low that it was just a personal 'test' . There is actually no lens flare in this image, but I do agree that it is blown out, the expresssion is 'blah' and just overall a poor quality shot. Thanks 4 the comments.

There's a lot to like about this shot. The backlighting is nice, especially on her eyelashes, and her expression is good. The trouble with backlighting, though, is that it's hard to control. Her forehead and the top of her chin are both a bit blown out, and it looks like lens flare has taken over most of her face. Sometimes that stuff can be fixed during post processing, but the most effective thing is to shoot when the sun is less intense, or shoot from a slightly different angle, to try to control things better.

Nice lighting. I would like to see a little more contrast.

I feel that this needs some more contrast, looks washed out from the light.

a lens hood would have improved this photo

Now that's backlight.

more contrast

the backlighting does not emphasise any of her features

Nice image - Nice soft lighting

Really nicely done, if anything I would prefer her nearest eye lashes not to be lit as it makes them stand out with the shadow behind. WD
