 I was intrigued with this collection of stripes.

Hwy 55 passes over Lake St.
As part of the never ending road repair season, all the little triangle barriers where traffic is herded on and off the bridge have been subtlety reshaped. They are now paving in 2 colors to denote the pedestrian pathways, but a few stray squares are still unpaved ankle twisting pits with markers in them. Now the road crew is off doing something else and this mess sits here.

This is one of 4 construction sites on my bus route to work. A distance of less than 3 miles. Makes for a cluttered commute.

My guess that this is an "i", and a very colorful one ar rhat.
