 I spent a couple of hours today pulling up goat heads, a really nasty weed that leaves behind thorns that are so sharp and tough they can poke holes in bike tires. Needless to say they are very painful to step on! There were all sorts of little moths and bees and flies flitting around the wildflowers, so I took a break to take some images. I suppose this is some kind of fly?
