 An old piece of railroad track with several cars connected together had been sitting idle for years near the building that houses my customer service reps. Recently they have been dismantling the cars one by one and selling it as scrap material.

This is the last of the three passenger cars. I figured there was no time like the present to take a picture for posterity.

I spoke to the one remaining worker about the project and he mentioned that the leader of the project had debated the idea of turning this last car into a restaurant. It seems he has done something similar in the past. He decided against doing so so they'll start cutting up the shell of this car any day now.

I'm glad you photographed the old train. We see these things every day and then they are gone and it is too late. I like the dappled light and rust is always photogenic.
