 I joined the 21st Century this past weekend and purchased my first mobile phone.

Yes, I hate cell phones, and what they've done to the culture, with everyone yakking endlessly, and everyone endlessly reachable, etc., etc.

But after last year's driving vacation, when I had to find pay phones along the highway (and had to pay outrageous surcharges on my calling card just to use them), my resistance was softened a bit.

So my beginner phone is an inexpensive phone with few frills and a pay-as-you-go plan with expensive minutes but no access or roaming fees.

I'm sure I'll soon be assimilated entirely.

lol I don't have a cell, I have to borrow it when I travel. You might find out tho, like i did, that they are kind of nice to have at your disposal.

Great macro - good detail on the buttons. I like the background that you used for the pic.

I fought getting one myself and now it's one of those things I have to have. Diagonal works well in the picture.

Nice macro, cell phones are taking over, but in a lot of ways like you mentioned they're a good thing (most of the time anyway!)

I like the diagonal shot - could see this in a magazine ad - "Your best friend when on the road...".

You will quickly become very attached to that little guy, I guarantee it! We joined the cell phone world a couple of years ago and haven't looked back since. I was reluctant too but we've gone so far as to get rid of our land line all together and only use our cells (family plan - free calls anytime, anywhere between phones)!

Great texture captured. I love the rough pavement (?) vs. the smooth phone. Very cool angle and crop.... now, uh... really? Hmmm... thanks for joining the real world :)
