Aw crap, was not feeling too well this weekend (got a bad cold) and alongs comes a free study. Well I couldnīt really skip it since one of my goals this year was to enter all free studies, even though it is an irregular-speed free study I couldnīt skip it with good conscience. Well at sunday evening I had not taken a single photo except a wedding yesterday and I didnīt really feel like entering one of those photos, not cause they were bad, far from it but rather I didnīt want to enter something so private in a challenge here without asking permission and I didnīt really feel like calling up the couple on their first day as husband and wife to ask them something trivial like this.
I thus decided to do something easy that didnīt require much effort and just drove out to this spot on Reykjanes with my buddy  indridistefans and take a landscape photo, havenīt entered a landscape photo on DPC since may and getting a bit rusty :) Took this about 1 hour after sunset.
Used a polarizer on the sky. Otherwise pretty standard editing, made two files out of a single raw exposure and blended together for greater dynamic range. I then did some shadow highlights, slight dodge/burn, added vignetting with a curves layer, contrast with curves, cropped to a 7:4 ratio and sharpened+added border after resizing.
Am predicting some negative comments about the halo along the top of the cliffs and around the lighthouse in the upper left corner, could have easily corrected that but frankly I like it just the way it is :P |

| this is an amazing picture! i enjoy everything about this photo, the rocks look beautiful and you can see every little detail in most of them, the water also looks nice, almost like gaseous. |
