 This guy made me a little nervous. Most of the cattle were somewhat skittish and moved to the opposite side of the pond when I walked up. I took a few shots more to the left and didn't see the longhorn on the right until he was getting pretty darn close. He was walking a straight line toward me, not flinching, just steadily coming my way. Now in this photo he doesn't look nearly as large as he actually is. Those horns go at least 4 feet across and he could nearly look me in the eye if he was close enough (I'm over 6' tall). The fence between us was maybe 4 feet high and comprised of old rusty wire. Not much to slow him down if he really got ticked I figured! In the end he got within about 10 feet, slowed down, looked me over, and slipped by to the left.

What a RUSH!

I know, I know...the borders are risky. :) I shot this with my 10-20 and a Polarizer. With the angle I picked up some vignetting so I cropped this in and down some. This border works the best for what I had left IMO.

Hopefully this will be one of the better cow shots in the challenge. I imagine there will be a few, along with some red barns and abandoned farm buildings. :)

The TV style "Letterbox" frame gives the a nice effect to exagerate the panoramic style of this landscape. Nice.

Personally, I don't like the letter box frame. Otherwise a workmanlike image.

The thick, black bars top & bottom are very distracting, but aside from thiat it's a well composed shot.

Super composition - you are clearly someone with an artistic photographic eye. I lie the way the line of the cows is repeated in the line of the trees.

You could improve the colors IMHO but it is a great capture. I wouldn't dare to get closer ;)
