:) there were two pro hula hoopers out at the beach tonight. they were so amazing... it was one time where i kinda wished i had a video camera instead of just a still camera, but i did my best to capture what i was seeing. they asked me to send them the pics and said they might need me to be their photographer at a few music festivals... could be cool :). for the full photo story CLICK HERE

anyone else notice my last three titles have been "something and something". neat

Now there's something that should be everyone's list of "who I want to be when I grow up" - "pro hula hooper"! Excellent! Very nice swing effect to this blur, but I do find that bright square between her and the hoop to be more of a distraction than a complementary element.

Strong and very appealing image. Great feel and flow to this one. I can almost feel myself swinging out the left with it.

So dope. I love it. The series in your link is good too, but I like this shot best.

The layers in the skirt makes the shot in combination with the horizontal line. It's really "something~"

What cool photos, Shannon! Taken at a beautiful time of day to make them even more exotic looking. I can see why they would want you to be their photographer. You did a fantastic job capturing the mood and ambiance of the event. Thanks for showing us all of those. That one girl is so pretty -- she would be fun to do real portraits of too.

the lines on this are outstanding - placing the hula hooper at the edge of the image and facing away and having her skirt lines mirror the lines of the hoop really work - the extent of blurr on the left provides more focus on the right part of the image - very engaging!
