Had a much better idea, that failed in execution. Switched last minute to this one. Like the overall feel, but I am pretty sure the shadows will cost me points. Didn't feel like setting up my entire flash set. Expect it to end somewhere 5.5ish

Although the contest description had changed, I decided to hold the cam upside down for this shot, which is actualy quite a challenge. :P

Post Challenge: Pretty happy with this one, expected it to end a bit lower. I agree with any of the technical comments here and have a remake planned for the end of this week.

For those who still wonder how it's done; it is actually fairly simple. The glasses are filled with tea made to jello and the is turned (actualy, the camera) upside down. So three glasses are upside down, only one is bottom down.

I wish you had chosen a standard proportion for the image. panoramic doesnt suit this image. i like the idea :)

The old jello trick, huh? Good one. More backlighting to get rid of the shadows would make it harder to tell this is upside down.

Hmmm... does make the viewer ask "How?", but technically falls a little short - kinda soft on focus, white balance is tooo white, composition is uneven, etc.

cool! neat idea, i think techically it is a bit lacking, the lighting isn't very even and I think there could be a wider range of color maybe using a different color in the glasses or bw it?
