August 2nd:
This is Pickles (she was in Day 18 with her little sister). I went over to my mom's tonight to visit my grandma & took some pictures of the kitties. I may be biased :), but I believe Pickles is the best cat ever. She is 9 months old, my mom got her a couple of days before Christmas. The 1st week she was around I had off from work all week & I would drive over to my mom's almost every day to see her. I put a baby picture up, she had to be the cutest kitten in the world, so tiny & adorable (I would call her "little one"). She has such a great little personality & I love hanging out with her...that may sound funny with her being a cat and all, but she really is like a little person. I really liked this picture because you can see her facial markings & I have always loved how they make her mouth look like it's to one side, so cute! Alright, enough gushing. I'll try to get another good picture of her sister, aka: "baby" soon, she is also an awesome kitten, but I can't lie...Pickles is my favorite.
Here's her baby pic:

I totally understand your description of her personality and it does not sound funny at all. My beagles have no clue that they are dogs. Ms. Coco is my little girl and she knows it! It's such a unique bond to find an animal you can gel with - and also very hard to explain lol.

It would have been funny if that lamp on the left were on - she could have had some aural glow over her head. I love the pose and all the stuff in the pic. Love that wall! Fun to see so many different things in the house.

See this is why DPC is so cool (and occasionally makes you pull your own hair out) one person says it may be an idea to reshoot without the clutter, but for me the clutter is what helps makes this a real slice of life shot (what the heck is mug therapy?)

Very regal pose by pickles!!!!

I agree that this is a neat angle, and the cat and the vase make a good composition. If you can get Pickles to cooperate, it might be worth it to re-shoot this with a little less clutter on the table. 8)

Wonderful angle for this image. Really makes Pickles look quite regal! I had a cat once that seemed more cat than dog. So it is odd, but it is very nice to find a cat that's more social.

I like how the cat and the vase share the focus. You break some "rules" here -- like having the cat face out of the frame rather than in -- and I think it's neat.

Cool image, love the slight tilt and warm colors! Needless to say the kitty is gorgeous :-) I absolutely understand getting attached to furry friends; I had two kitties for 10 years and they were like my kids. Then I moved to a rural location where folks treat cats like trash and have taken in a couple of litters of adorable, wild, unwanted kittens over the past year... arrgghhh! Anyway, Pickles is a cutie!

She has such neat markings! It does make it look like she's making a face at you, nice flowers too.

She is very gorgeous and I can see why you like this photo. The surroundings accentuate her beauty, too. I'm happy to see that someone appreciates their cat - they are kind of like hairy people sometimes, aren't they?
