The star is a huge lighted sign on top of the Chanel store. I liked the idea of the two signs, star representing the heavens(or our commercial replacement of them) and the street lights as a warning.

I like the idea of your metaphor, but without the narrative, it's lost -- the composition is too busy, as the star and the traffic light are competing for attention. The building looks overexposed.

Keep trying; you have some creative ideas.
