 OK, well apologies for the late posting, but here goes

Yesterday Daisy and I went down to London as I had managed to get us a couple of tickets to see the Scissor Sisters at the newly opened O2 arena (which is sited in the former Millenium Dome

We are both big music fans and although we have been to a few SummerXS gigs in Milton Keynes (where a cornucopia of bands play 2 or three numbers) this was out first 'proper' gig together

I have to say it was fantastic, brilliant live singing with not a note misplaced and they put on a real show. We were in the seats and quite close to the stage but like virtually everyone we were up and dancing for the whole gig (well in so far as you can call my laboured shuffling dancing)

Managed to catch the last train back to Milton Keynes (at the moment after a certain time there is a bus service that replaces the train) which was good news, although as ever an eye opening experience in itself (One carriage down from us a young girl managed to vomit on someone elses back)

The trouble with the last train is it stops at about every lamppost between London and MK which means that a journey that can take 40 minutes actually took an hour and 20. We got in just after one and Daisy fell into a virtual coma straight away. We both piled up the Z's but it has been a quiet day today

which Daisy took. It has lost quite a bit of quality in resizing but the full version is now printed on A4 and is stuck to the wardrobe in her bedroom

This other one was the first bit of advertising we actually saw in the arena and given some of my comments this week it just made me laugh and laugh....And yes all todays shots were taken with the Vivitar

What an amazing looking arena, kind of like a giant pin cushion! Lovely capture of the sky as well!

How fun! This picture is great & it sounds like you two had a blast. I like all the poles sticking up from the dome, they make it look kind of sci-fi. No picture of the throw up? :) That would have been so gross!

You certainly do carpe those diems, and thank you for photographing them for us. :) When your daughter has grown old enough to understand how awesome and involved a dad you are, she will be very grateful.

I love the dome shot; my monitor is a bit dark right now (the computer game my son plays messes with the settings) and that lends a certain ominousness to the clouds that goes really well with the main subject.

I would have expected you to take a photo of the urping on the train - hahaha! How lovely.

Sounds like you guys had a really great time. How wonderful that Daisy is at an age where you can do fun things with her, and you're not so old yet that you can't - again: hahahaha! :o)

Aaaanyway... love the photo. The centered comp is great. Seems like I've seen photos of this building before - could it be that you posted them in another side?

Jon, you got a mention in my Holy Whistle shot, so you gotta go look at it.

Ahhh... the "O2 Arena"... see, here in KC, we built the "Sprint Arena", which is managed by the same company as the O2. And the bldg has been sitting, waiting, patiently... for something. Well, on Oct 13 (I believe) your British "Brother" (lol) Elton John will be playing there (he'll be the first event held there). So I find this interesting. Now I know what they were talking about in the paper...

The sky looks a bit ominous. Love the rippling water. Glad you weren't in the other "carriage".

Wonderful composition. Must say though, very cool looking bldg. The Sprint Bldg looks like a giant tire with busted out tread.

Oooh you must be one hip dad going to see the Scissor Sisters lol. Just reading along with your story and then um came to the lovely vomiting point. Nothing escapes your eye, does it?

This looks like a really cool place to go see a concert. Looks like you must have had a break from the rain too. Hope it dries up soon!
