We were loading the truck with more auto parts this evening, in preparation for taking them to my parents' for storage tomorrow. One of the things we pulled out of the garage, which I had forgotten we owned, was this antique fire extinguisher. As far as I can tell, it's just a canister that would have been filled with fire-extinguishing powder, and you'd unscrew the top and pour it on the fire.

Hey, it's a lot more interesting-looking than the box full of MoPar power-steering pumps. I don't know how many power-steering pumps a guy really needs, but apparently, according to my beloved husband, it's a lot.

That's crazy, I've never even heard of a fire extinguisher like this...that's too cool. I can inagine people running around all chaotic turning this on top of the fire to get it out. I love the clarity you captured on the metal part!

Funny story, and I'm sorry that you guys have to go thru so much with a move right now. I like the composition of this and the lighting on the sign looks fantastic.

What an interesting object. The colors are very good and I like the composition, too.

What a neat old object -- I've never seen one like this before. I love the bluish grunge (would that be called oxidation?). I like your composition, too.

Nice image - I like the close up. And nice story - every guy has his thing -power steering pumps, I do not need, flashlights, however, are my vice.

Excellent job of capturing the letters without glare. I found the fence a bit distracting at first, but as I look at it more I really like it. It seems to be a nice environment for the extinguisher, if even only temporarily.

Just remind him of the power steering parts when you bring home "yet another" pair of black shoes.... Great detail here and colors.

What a neat antique. Very good lighting to show the raised lettering. No glare either. You did a good job on showing shape and form.
