Under some scaffolding on 9th Avenue (New York is eternally under construction and repair), against a graffiti covered iron gate, someone placed a colorful postcard.

Perhaps in the next 25 days I'll take a photo of the scaffolded building.

I cropped to square, selectively increased color saturation, tried to sharpen, and added a thin color frame.

I much prefer the full sized version, so I'm sharing it here without any PP. It may have lost some detail in the resizing, as I'm trying to keep my file sizes small.

Re the postcard: I do not know the end of the sentence "I am not a ___."
Why didn't I check when I had the chance?

What an odd find. I'd have had to snap a photo of this as well. The color works really well against the drab background.

I prefer the full sized version too.

That's really great happenstance. You couldn't have composed it better if it were intentional. I like the pop of colour form the postcard's primary colors.

I think your square crop looks fine. This is one really interesting piece of work. I'm curious about the green man in the chair. Do you think the streams of light are to represent the twin towers? Something like this makes me wonder what kind of message was trying to be conveyed.

Good spot! I cant believe this is not a set up and its great splash of colour in a frame of...well nothingness (please note the nothingness comment is NOT a critcism of the photo)

Actually its colourful...yet faintly diturbing because of the graphics

That's so crazy to just find art like that. I like the cropped photo, it seems to draw it all together better. "I am not a" monkey :)

That's a great find - those colors really stand out against the drab building.

Way cool. I like it that you can fill in your own ending for "I am not a ..." I vote for the square crop.

This is just too cool. I can't think of anything else smart to say - just cool. Love it.

I compared the full size to the square crop for a while and don't see the advantage in the full size. This works pretty well and the frame is good too. Not fuzzy, but still good (heh).

What a great find.
I don't share David's view though. I stared at this trying to come up with an ending.
I am not a Pet?
I am not a Baboon?
I am not a crazy red chick with a monkey?
I am not a Lone...?

I really like this, and I actually prefer the square version.

Maybe there is no more to the sentence. "I am not a." Makes sense to me ;-Þ (I'm not b either.)
