The first thing that came to mind was Native American, this has a latter day pow-wow feel to it. I like the way you focused on the girl as your main subject, she appears to be deep in thought. A very nice composition all around.
I like how all those hands frame your subject -- her own hands, the hands on the drums, the folded hands. Seems to suggest she's protected by this lifestyle...
