 Can't quite remember all the editing steps, but I'll try to remember.

Set camera to timed shutter
Used curves layer to lighten
Selective desat of yellow
Channel Mixer - set to monochrome

Removing the garbage can would have made for a cleaner photo. Nice execution.

I'm a bit confused over what you are trying to say with this shot. I don't get why he's eating on the floor in front of the fridge.
