Just found a bunch of these, which I don't know what they are - neither the flower's name, actually. In any case, I don't think these guys can distinguish roses from wild flowers... Well, maybe the can, but they don't seem to care much about that...
The scene and image reminded me the (universal) proverb "Life is Not a Bed of Roses", therefore my purposely twisted title.
Portuguese: "A vida não é um mar de rosas"
Italian: "La vita non è tutta rosa"
No, life is not a bed of roses indeed, nevertheless I am sure we all have "bed of roses" moments in our lives - even seasons. And, related to that, here's such a great promise:
"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the L-rd In the land of the living. Wait on the L-rd; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the L-rd!" Psalm 27:13-14
Pretty much straight from the camera, no tweaks: crop, USM, re-size, USM, save for web. |

Good macro shot! I think these are soldier beetles on queen anne's lace.
(btw...lately I've been submitting pictures to betterphoto.com bc they have specific categories for what I like to shoot) |
