I want to thank my girlfriend, for being my "sad" model for me. Shot before sunset, used off camera flash from the upper left of camera. *I could have powered it a little brighter, as it didn't really do much*

Really a good sharpness, and a very good message too.

Powerful message. Good exposure and sharpness.

Of all the images using this theme (or something similar) I kind of like this. Not sure what you could've done differently, but the fence in the bg is a little distracting. Seems sincere, although I have to question whether this is a setup or not as the tombstone seems quite aged...long-term mourning perhaps?

Desat works nicely here, I can feel this.

For those that have suffered such a loss this is very much an extreme emotion.

A good photo of grief but the tilt to the right is makes me want to keep tilting my head as I look at it. Although I could understand that it may not be straight also. I really like the details in the cross and the photo appears with a slightly muted color scheme which makes me feel the disconnect the mourner would be going through.

sad picture, bad it's a bit tilted (i am not sure if it's intentional or not).
also could use some work on colors to make them more vibrant.
