 An especially vividly-coloured praying mantis I found preening itself and cleaning its legs. I especially like the way it holds its leg as it grooms itself.

I spotted this mantis on my backyard patio. It's the first praying mantis that I've ever seen in my neck of the woods. Very neat creatures they are.
