Seems like the background could use a soft focus effect to lessen the harshness.

A spider has been by here.... just one little strand below and one above as if he was just passing by. Lovely shot.

Lovely capture on the flower and the background. I think a tighter left crop...just to the edge of the middle leaf would work well also.

very different and exellent image, with the play on the leaf lines of the bg contrasting with the detailed curves of the bloom. Simple & beautiful!

This is totally lovely Robert, and the composition, DOF and crop, are perfect.

I have also just done some image of the same type of flower but is a beautiful yellow color. Love to know what you think.

The green stripes from the leaves in back set off the flower beautifully. I like the hint of yellow edge around the petals.
