I went biking with my sister and decided it would be a good time to take a portrait for this challenge.

Post Processing: RAW conversion, painted all around the bike with black and on the face with white (softlight blend), painted in the corners with black and on the face again in white (softlight blend), heavy Gaussian Blur to both layers, clone drop of light of face, increase brightness/contrast, USM, resize, USM, border

I like the portrait- puts the person in their environment with what is important to them. I think that was a weakness to many of the shots in the challenge. Well done!

I live the dappled sunlight but the face needs a little spot more light. maybe if he just removed his helmet.

A very good example of environmental portraiture. I admire everything about this, and may 'steal' your idea for a portrait of my daughter (she won't normally let me take her photo, but one with her beloved race bike might be on..)

I feel the face is very much in the shade, between the hat and the trees around, maybe if it had been taken in more of an open place it would have been clearer, omo, good luck

Nice environmental portrait. It might also be interesting to crop it vertically so that the entire bike is not showing.
