This is a shot across the little train station we have in Diegem, two platforms, with 4 tracks. I'm on the other platform, shooting across two tracks.

The building in the background isn't really bomb damaged, it's being slowly nibbled away by a demolition crew. I was at the other end of the platform, with this guy trudging down towards me, the angle I was at would have shown him ok, but would have had a truly horrible NH hotel in the background, and this I think makes a much better shot.

So I had to run the length of the platform to get the angle behind him to I could get the demolished building in the background.

Wow, that's a pretty powerful photo with the rubble in the background, it does look like a bomb went off.

The blurred background really brings the focus in on the guy. I like how he's looking down.

It was worth the effort. The man and his background go perfectly together. I wonder how this would be in b&w.
