 we all conform in one way or another. in some ways it makes us comfortable.

i was thinking about paper, and noticed the patio table sort of looked like flowing water with the blue sky reflecting off of it. then i started thinking about origami, and how it might be a peaceful hobby. i tried to create a peaceful enviroment for my paper birds.

i made a series of paper birds from copy paper, and put them on the patio table ( kind of a frosted/lumpy glass ). i used a polarizer to make the glass pseudo-opaque - yet still reflective, then draped some yellow tissue paper over the flash.

compositionally i tried to make the colors, shapes, and textures lead into each other keeping the viewer interested, and intrigued.

post involved adejustment layers for:
levels
curves
selective color
hue/saturation
a layer for dodge/burn

Others have said it's a little dark, perhaps a very soft reflective fill light would have been agreeable. I suspect the number of origami entries hurt you a bit, but I'm glad you made the top fifty. This was my favorite of the bird shots and one of my top ten photos (I gave you a 9).

Awh, momma and babies. neat idea. I have seen tons of origami in this challenge, but this is the best so far.

There are several inages in this challenge that are of folded paper. I like it but would have liked to see a brighter color paper.
