This the work of my daughter, for those that don't know she has been into sketch art since she was very young. I know it's a bit grainy and OOF but it's late and it's been a long day!! lol, and yes there is a point to this image...
As most of you know I went to Evansville In. with Shel. (daughter) to pick up her stuff as she is moving back here with me. This painting/sketch was one of the things we picked up, as we are driving along south of St. Louis on our way home today I guess she got bored...I was kinda numb from the road trip but noticed out of the corner of my eye something white in the pass. side window...the back side of this panel...she was holding it up so the cars we were passing could see it as we passed!! When I noticed this I mentioned that maybe that wasn't the most intellegent thing she had ever done!! Insisting that she stop...RIGHT THE HELL NOW!! LOL. I can only imagine the conversations of the people in the cars we had passed...then I started to laugh, not the best way to reinforce behaviour modifcation I suppose but I was tired as well and well it just struck me as funny...it gets better...we ended up taking Gizmo with us as we really didn't feel right asking anyone we knew to watch him for 2 days when we were gone and since for the most part he is Prozac Puppy, REALLY laid back and just sleeps all the time. I guess he does have his moments though...He was on the floor of the truck and decided he wanted up on someones lap, Shel was tired of him sleeping on her lap so she put him on the floorboard a few times as he jumped up on her lap...then he decided it would be cool to climb my right arm claw and scratch his way up my side across my neck as I was driving in between 2 18 wheelers, going around a curve AND up a steep hill...So in a split second I am trying to drive AND deal with the 8 legged attack Pom.(it felt like he had 8 legs anyway!! LOL) So I slow down to let the trucks get pass and claw the little critter off my neck as I am driving and I catch a glimpse of my darling daughter laughing to hard to help, LOL. That was when the whole comical aspect of the situation hit me and I couldn't stop laughing...so I slowed down quite a bit to regain my senses and noticed some of the same cars we had pasted earlier (think Freak sign here) were now passing us and giving us some very..."are you on crack??" Looks...all in all it was very funny afterward but not so much at the time...LOL.

All is well now and everyone is settled in nicely...Thankfully if's over!! ROFL. Hope everyone is having a great weekend...I think I'll sleep about 12 hours...LOL.

Day 13 to follow...I just had to tell this story!!

Just a wonderful story and I am sitting here in England laughing my head off, though I am not sure whether its more at your daughter's banner waving (ha if I saw that at the window of a car I would be sure to never cut the driver up) or the fact that you got savaged by GIZMO!!!!! Oh the shame!!!!

Also thinki its wonderful that despite your gruff exterior you love and pride in your daughter and her work just shines through here

That is some story. I can relate to what you say. I have had a similar experience with cats. What a time to try to concentrate on the road, and having a cat going berserk on my shoulders or head.

OMG Jack what a hilarious story. I am laughing out loud here. I would love to have been a fly on the wall for this one. The dog goes from Prozac Puppy to demon and that is just a scream. "are you guys on crack" - hahaha! (That was funny)

Thanks for sharing a great story and I'm glad you guys made it back safely!

Now how are you going to top that story? She's very talented, and obviously, you should be a long distance driver... lol! Glad everyone made it home safely.

The joys of parenthood! Your story should have been part of Steve Martin's movie. Actually, I really like the animal. He's got real attitude.
