 Was inspired by the challenge. I like old books and I am hoping other people will too. The setup was very simple. No special lighting or anything. A little cloning and that's it.

The blown out background distracts from the focus. The same image with a darker background and maybe a very slight sepia tone would be really nice.

The DOF is what makes this photo for me. It makes the text feel much more at home. Or maybe it's because it's foreign. In any case, it turned out quite nicely.
