I thank my wife for cutting these out. :) Trying to stand them up in the grass with a slight breeze was interesting.
This was my third attempt. First tried a white background in a light tent, then black - wasn't 100% satisfied with either. Hope this natural environment works. :D

Hi from the Critique Club,
This is a well composed shot, and you clearly understand the effectiveness of the aperture you selected. Great background choice, with a nice level of saturation in the grass. The only reason I can think of that this didn't score higher is that it's not necessarily as exciting (i.e. doesn't have the "wow" factor) of some of the other submissions.

| Nice treatment! Good DOF. Compositionally it would be stronger if the characters were different heights to play against the wave created by the arms. |

| Nice setup. The grass is not quite green enough, but maybe you live in Australia, and all the grass here is dead anyway. I like the crispness of this shot, as well as the shallow DOF. |
