Was taking some last-minute photos for class and this was an outtake for the "curves" assignment. The actual one I chose was diagonal with very shallow DOF and darker, but since I'm not allowed to edit my pics for class I had to choose it. You could flip this any direction and it works well, but I like this one best because it's less boring when it's upside-down. Oh and could someone tell me what this flower is called? I know it's hard to tell from this angle, but it just has a yellow/black center. Not very imaginative, but I like it considering it's a flower shot :)

Love the upside down! I'll have to steal that idea some day :D Seriously though, it makes me want to go flip all my flower shots upsidedown and see what happens!

Beautiful shot. I agree that it looks nice upside down.

I think the others are right about it being a Gerbera, though I'm not that knowledgeable about flowers.

Excellent shot. Love the fact that it's upside and facing away. Adds tons of drama.

I think this could be a Gerbera daisy as have many of them.. The description of the center fits Plus have spent time taking the back view and they have fuzzy stems..
like the direction..

The upside-down angle really does add a little punch to it. I'm not sure what kind of flower this is, but it's beautiful!

The color of the petals, stem, and white background work together perfectly. Sounds like a fun class you're taking.

I like it too..... It's very nice. Is it a Gerbera by any chance? It looks like it may be.

I like the simplicity and the softness. I don't think it would be as nice a shot if it was super sharp. The simple border is a complimentary addition as well.
