I am traveling for work this week and got to my destination way after midnight last night. Today, with very little sleep, I sat through 'death by powerpoint'. I was beat after leaving work and felt like my head was going to roll right off my shoulders. On my was back to the hotel I spotted some geese on the side of the road. I stopped and started snapping a few pictures. Since I had not emptied my flash card from the night before it filled up quickly. This is the best of them although I really wish I'd quit cutting off their feet.

Looks like she's wondering what you were doing. Pity about the cut off feet, but it's still a very nice shot.

I cut body parts off pretty regularly. Sometimes, I'm lucky enough to notice while I'm shooting so I can try again. This is still a nice shot, like the diagonal line of the shore/hill (can't tell...either way, nice reflections/bokeh).

eta: the first line is a figure of speech...

I hate when I notice stuff like that only after I'm done shooting and can't redo. I had a serious nightmare wherein I was doing someone's wedding pictures (item: I am not a wedding photographer, nor do I ever plan to be one) and found out when the prints came in that I had cut off everyone's heads.

Anyway. I ramble. Sorry. Lack of feet and all, this is a really good capture. The light across the grass in the background really sets off the darkness and muted colors of the goose, and the goose's expression is great.

Great 'expression' on the goose. We have lots of these round our way and they are always either looking aloof like this or hissing

Fantastic job on the background which looks like a wonderful amalgam of bokeh and stunning reflection

Yes, a really excellent shot, but would be improved if the feet weren't cut off. I often have the same problem -- maybe it's a viewfinder issue? I must learn to correct for it!

Wonderful angle of the hill and the bands of differently-lit greenery! I love her quizzical gaze right into the camera :-)

What an expression he/she has. I love the texture and pattern in the feathers.

I love the angle of the hill & the out of fcous trees in the background, it really gives clarity to this little guy. You got his attention, that's for sure.

It should be illegal to have to watch a powerpoint presentation when you are sleepy. :/ That goose seems to be saying, "What ARE you looking at?"

Looks like she's in attack mode to me!! Very nice capture, who needs feet there so over rated! "death by powerpoint" too funny! Thanks for sharing!

I would never pause long enough to snap this. Those things are MEAN! Great job though. It's worth it, as this is a nice image, crisp and clear.
