Well, I went out early with my son, for a walk with my camera, wanting to take some photos. BUT, I was hanging around on the corner of my street and the busy cross street, while my son was riding his bike around (on the side street), and an acquaintance saw me, came up, and started a rather long conversation.

Soooo, then I just hung out talking and did not take any pictures. But, I walked back to my house and in my yard I took this shot. I put it into B&W, thinking it looked better.

Shot again with my Fuji S6000, my backup camera.

Excellent closeup. Love all the details and texture. It's interesting that you went with B&W.

I like the B&W as well, and DOF isn't so limited that most of picture is blurry.

Amazing dusting of the pollen. Very nice detail. I admire floral images, but I sure can't take them.

You wouldn't think that B&W of flowers would work well, but this looks great!

Wow stunning macro and I love the soft B&W conversion

Amazing focus to capture the pollen which has been trapped inside the petals of the flower

Wonderful detail. I like the crop, which focuses on the innards - so to speak. :o) I'd try it with a white frame, perhaps. To me, the black looks a little heavy.

Loved your story - I was so there.

The B&W really brings out the texture of the pollen on the petals. I think that may have gone by unnoticed if this were in color. Nice conversion.

Fantastic detail, I love seeing all that pollen on the petals! I like the crop a lot as well as the choice of b&w, I could see it hanging on a gallery wall :-)

Great focus. The bw gives it a subdued, calming effect, almost.
