 From the moment I introduced the notion of painting my living room a color best described as terracotta, my mother has been extremely concerned about it. "But you have that purple sofa," she objected, seemingly thinking of bright crayola purples and oranges. On Friday, Dad and Uncle Pat spent the day finishing the living room while I was at work. This photo is my first look at the finished product. I admit that even I had some reservations about it while it was in progress, but the completed room looks fantastic.

I really like the light in this one, as it gives this image a real glow, and brings the image alive.....

That colour is great. I love the play of light shining through the blinds.

Congratulations on the move. Hope the hard work is over soon. And lets see a shot of that purple sofa.

Congrats on the new place. That sun coming in will be a blessing on those rare days in winter when the sun is actually out. It certainly creates nice lines for the photo.

You can never go wrong with color! Well, maybe that's not entirely true. But this color works great, nice and warm.

Nice choice in color, blends well with the carpet and firework tile colors! Looks like you have a nice balcony or yard on the other side of that sliding glass door??

Those shadows give it a sort of haunted look or something... Nice mellow colors, looks like an excellent place to have a nice little fire.

Love that corner fireplace!

Purple sofa? Not to worry. Just put lots of pillows over it and cover up the purple. 8)
