You did a great job on this. I wasn't sure in voting, but I thought that the chick might have been stuffed or something - You did such a great job of getting the shadow to fall perfectly on the book and the way the chick is lifting up it's foot. Congrats on you and the rest of your team beating us this week and going through to the finals of DPL.

Great photo!

Unfortunately, there IS an answer to that dichotomy or paradox.

You are what you make yourself...if he wants to be an Eagle, let him! You should be helping him attain his goals instead of stifling them! :-P

Fantastic photograph...congratulations on winning the yellow ribbon!

At first I assumed that you had a magical way with animals; now I'm starting to think that maybe you are really an amazing taxidermist! How else could you keep getting these shots? ;^)

Everything is perfect, as usual! Nice work.

It would be great to know more about the story behind this image...the setup, lighting, is it a disected animal?

Ah....you beat me!.. Well, lets wait and see what happens after the open challenges end on Tuesday night. ;)

j/k. Congrats! Very cute shot. Is that a real chicken? I don't think I've ever seen one old enough to not be fuzzy and yellow but young enough to still be so small.

Not sure if this is really a dichotomy so much as a paradox, but its a very interesting idea, and well executed. I love the use of rule of thirds and the frozen motion. It's a little dark for my taste. 7

Ooh goody! A ten at last!
Wonderful idea. Perfect shadows. Wit, as executed by the volumes written about this and other such pointless debates. Wonderful movement. Flawless editing. 10 This should win something. I will send the boys with bats around to anyone who gives this a 3 or lower!

That chicken looks like something out of a Steven Spielberg movie. The lighting is good and the shadow is falling beautifully onto the book.

GOD, how many takes did you have to do to get that chick to do that??? I'm giving you a higher score just because it worked. Not sure if it is a true dichotomy, but I'm not scholarly enough to judge that.
