 My offce is on the fourth floor of a building in London and if I look directly down from the window this is a (cropped version) of what I see.

I'm not sure why but I really like this light. The street the office is on is very bustling (its the jewellery quarter of London although I dont work in the Jewellery trade) but it is filled with little things which are either strange or just peculiarly attractive (you will be seeing some more of these throughout the challenge no doubt) I guess I took this shot because sometimes beauty strikes you from the most unexpected places

I often find myself taking photos of lights. But I haven't tried this angle yet. It makes a beautiful pattern, though I find the road markings a bit distracting.

Lucky you - this is my 1999 comment.

What an interesting idea for a photo. Wonderful perspective. Someone like me would take the photo from the street below - looking up. It looks like a beautiful lamp. I bet these add quite a bit of charm to the area.

I have never seen (or at least noticed) the top of the street lights! I'm surprised there's no bird poop on there! lol

I love that light, it almost has an old-timey feel to it, wish I had a window in my office, most of the time I imagine it's sunny out just to walk out of my office to see that it's been storming for hours :)

i like the roundness of it inside the square crop, the repetition of the little cirles with the lettering on the street!

I really like the perspective and the smooth, round, dark shape against the rougher pavement background. The result here is certainly greater than its parts.

Great detailed image, Jon. I love that the line of the lamp arm is perpendicular to the street paint. Also, it looks a bit like a lady's hat, but only the kind you would probably find in London ;) I like the texture, and the bit of red poking through the black.

This is a fine lamp, Jon. I like the colors in this shot and the smoothness of the lamp paint/enamel/whaterveryoucallit. The frame works well here.
