 This is a shot of the National Mall (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Mall), consisting of the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and Capitol building.

Shot taken in front of the Netherlands Carillon (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netherlands_Carillon), located on the same property as the USMC Iwo Jima memorial (//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Marine_Corps_War_Memorial).

Ever since moving to Maryland/DC Metro area, I've wanted to take this shot. After almost 4 years here, I am moving, and finally motivated myself to spend one of my last weekends finding and taking the shot I wanted so badly. Even if I do poorly in this contest I am happy and proud I got the shot.

Nice composition. Thank you for not tilting your camera. The only critique (or more of an option) I can think of is to crop maybe portrait thru the center (you know, so you get the 3 white objects)... Anyway, cool shot

composition is too centered. image needs more contrast and saturation, doesn't "pop"
