I know that this is technically not superb, but it has sort of a dreamy quality to it that I liked. The voters did not seem disinclined - and my score turned out better than I expected - thank you.

Alicia... what a nice way to show the pretty side of Arizona's hot sun ;) I really like how the light leads me through the image.

the first thing I see is a load of compression artefacts. then my view is lead to the overexposed sky. next thing I notice is the thin border that doesn't match the deserts colors. before i can even think about composition, I see some lens flare. The bush in the foreground is dominating the image, there's little to see of the desert. I bet it is a nice place, but you didn't manage to capture that.

Nice capture of the light - did you try rotating a little to the left, the upper right corner is a little burnt out

Little more drama and little less action here. Theres a problem with having too many things to look at and the picture thus lacks focus
